As part of our commitment to the local community we donate both materials, time and money to both national and a number of local charities either holding company events or joining as part of a team in local challenges. We have in the past held cake competitions, organised walks and bike rides to raise money.
hArt (Hampshire Art for Recreation Therapy)
We recently donated some sand to hArt to create a fire pit at Batchley Farm.
This charity exists to offer creative therapeutic and recreational activities to support mental health, well-being and wider social issues in people of all ages and abilities.

We had a great day even though we lost out on penalties in the Semi-finals.
The boys really enjoyed their day and Paul would of loved it."
The NMSB team got in to the Hallowen spirit with a pumpkin carving competition. All money raised has gone to Oakhaven Hospice. I think you'll agree that they are all spook-tactular.

Rugby Club Fun Day
New Milton Rugby Club held a family fun day during the summer and SMS Skips were pleased to donate a skip for the event. We also made a financial contribution towards the cost of a new scoreboard at the ground.
The day was a huge success, persuading over 500 young people to try a new sport. The dog show also attracted more than 150 four legged friends in lively games and competitions.
Sponsored Cycle Ride and Barbeque
Staff and friends took part in a sponsored cycle ride in June to raise funds for Oakhaven Hospice in Pennington. The cyclists started from Masters Pit near Wareham, rode across Studland to the Sandbanks ferry and along the Poole and Bournemouth promenade to Southbourne before peddling through Christchurch and finishing at Head Office in New Milton. After tucking in to a tasty barbeque, the sponsorship and collection boxes raised £1271.59 for the hospice.
Reception at Coda Music Trust
A conversion project to convert a former piggery into music studios was completed this summer at Coda Music Trust in Walkford. A small evening reception was held to thank supporters and friends for their hard work. The trust is an innovative resource creating music to benefit the wellbeing for all sections of our community. We were happy to donate materials for the project and for the ongoing maintenance of the Coda site.
